As horrible as the current pandemic currently is on the world, I am trying to see this as an opportunity to pause, self-reflect and take a nice long cleansing breath. Otherwise, I get too bogged down and start an overthinking spiral of negativity. It (panic attack, mental breakdown, days full of anxiety) has happened to me so many times already this year, as I'm sure it has for you, too, reader. We're all dealing with it in the best way we can think of, I'm trying to remind myself to lead with compassion. I think of this quote often:

WE'RE ALL JUST WALKING EACH OTHER HOME - RAM DASS

Barry and I have been taking stock of our lives, making sure the important stuff we've been putting off actually gets done. For example, we recently contacted a financial advisor to make sure that we're being smart about our money and investments. I highly recommend it; and if you want the contact information for ours, send us email or message us!

We're also trying to focus on creating art, and sharing that art. We're also trying to share more photos of our adventures, both Disney and non-Disney, that we've curated over the years over on our Instagram page. Once of my biggest fears in life is loosing my memory, so I've decided to use this website as more of a way to remember the things I've done with my life, and I think they would be fun to share those memories with others.

Also, every Friday on our Instagram page, (or until we decide to stop) posting #FridayFridgePoems which are poems we write using those fun poetry magnets you can buy for your fridge. It's something so small and so fun that you can add to your day to put a little creativity into your soul!

If you have your own poetry magnets and want to post your own poems too, feel free to use the hashtag in your posts so we can see them and give you some poetry love 💕.

I'm also trying to find motivation to write the first draft of two different novels I'm working on. I know I should probably pick one and focus on it, but when I feel myself getting blocked in one, I can usually switch over to the other one and think of something to contribute to the story. Plus there are some other short stories I'm working on, not to mention the children's stories and other writing collaborations with Barry that are in various stages of development. I'm tired of putting these projects on the back burner of my life.

Making art and telling stories is important to me, and I should reprioritize my energy into those endeavors. I would love to say that I'll update the blog more often, but to be honest, I've decided to not let posting in this blog (or more aptly, not posting in this blog) make me feel guilty. Focus on creating the art first, not the instant ego boost of sharing it!

Don't worry - we're still doing the travel agent thing - we're just not actively encouraging travel at the moment. We LOVE planning future Disney trips, though! So even if you just have questions, there is absolutely NO pressure to book - we just want you to have the best time possible! Same goes for non-Disney trips! Odds are, we've been gathering information on the location you want to go for our own trips, and if not, we also LOVE learning about new places!

Love you all,

Aubrie
