Last Saturday, the Hello Kitty Cafe rolled into our town and set up shop for the whole day, selling their nostalgic Japanese cartoon kitty themed treats to all who dared to wait in line. So when a good friend (and Hello Kitty enthusiast) asked me to join her, I knew I had to check it out.

We got to the truck around 9:45 AM, ready for them to open at 10 AM. Unfortunately, many many MANY people also got there before the truck opened, so we were pretty far away from the front of the line.

How cute is that hubcap?
We stood in line for about 2 and half hours before it was our turn to order - I haven't even stood in a line that long in Disney! They did have chalk to doodle on the sidewalks, so it was entertaining to see the funny stuff people had drawn along the way!

Smashing!
The cafe had a limited menu of treats for sale, and our little group ended up getting at least one of everything!

I took home the macaron box, and they were just as adorable as you would hope they would be:

Even Strudel enjoyed them!

I have to say, the cuteness factor was adorable ans the pop culture shtick was great, but after tasting the treats, they were nothing to write home about. If you're a fan of Hello Kitty its worth it, but otherwise, just look at pictures of the adorable treats on blogs like this one!
